Ego Turtle's Movie Review 1

So I just came back from a drink with Game Turle and Old Turtle at Lo Yao (my staple kopi tiam these days) and in between our social ramblings, we managed to catch a couple of movies on the kopi tiam's projector.

Star Movies was at its peak tonight - Denzel Washington's Deja Vu and The Rock's Gridiron Gang was on show, anyhow - so generally, it was all fine, dandy and enjoyable.

Until this fateful title came on Star Movies.



First things first, I laughed outright when I saw the title. It screamed idiotic sophistry and cheap B-grade and to that assumption, it did not disappoint.

Eighty percent of the acting in this movie was amateurish at best; the special effects gave the impression of ages old technology and the overall plot was downright ridiculous.

It was one of those movies where you just feel embarrassed for the actors (much like how we do when we watch a horrible American Idol audition) because of just how ghastly the whole damned thing is.

About the only high-point in the movie was Feedback's (the winner of Stan Lee's reality show Who Wants To Be A Superhero?) cameo role. Other than that, I pretty much laughed myself throughout the entire movie - to fucking oblivion, at that - bearing in mind that this was supposed to be a 'monster-flick'.

And before anyone starts shooting me, the only reason I watched the whole thing to its end was because my friend hadn't finished his beer.

Which was a fucking mistake. On hindsight, I should've just left.

However, if you've nothing better to do and you're desperate in search for a laugh at something stupid, then I highly recommend Mega Snake.

Ego Turtle Says: The very definition of the word Horrible. This movie was never released in the cinemas and rightly so because it was easily one of the top-three worst movies I've ever seen in my life. IMDB gave it an overzealous 3.7/10 rating and I shudder to wonder how they came up with such a generous number. It lambasted itself in the backside in every aspect and to be honest, it couldn't have been made any worse. Avoid this movie at all costs.
